Mr & Mrs Mortley

William Edward and Anna Elizabeth Mortley (parents of Mrs Cuming). W.E. Mortley was head gardener at Berry before buying the Nursery and shop (Florist & Nurseryman) 78-80 High Street, later sold to Gills (they also ran it as a Nursery & shop). Prior to the Mortleys it was run by the Penwills. William Edward Mortley of Rosebank 12 Clifton Road Paignton d. 19.08.1949. Probate Exeter 14 October to Edith Cuming (wife of George Squire White Cuming) and Mabel Underhill (wife of Charles Underhill).
